This was a project by Christchurch musician Bill Direen and his wife Carol Woodward to translate and perform the songs of French artist Boris Vian. They also recorded together as Soluble Fish Ensemble. Bill Direen has released many singles, EPs and albums with his band The Builders. He is also a successful poet and author. This EP was released on South Indies in 1983.
