This is the first single from Christchurch musician Michael Braithwaite known as Ritckie Venus. A former Elvis Impersonator. He has played in bands around Christchurch since the 1960's. He appeared on the TV talent show Opportunity Knocks in 1978. In 1982 he teamed up with the recently formed Flying Nun Records and released this single. Its catalog number was FN008. The Blue Beetles feature John Segova (Markie) who has played in various New Zealand bands from The Axemen and Shaft to Don McGlashan And The Seven Sisters.
