The Neighbours were formed in 1981 when Rick Bryant teamed up with Sam Ford and Trudi Green. Ford and Green had previously played together in Sam Ford Verandah Band. Rick Bryant had been in Mammal, Rough Justice and the Top Scientists. The Neighbours were a touring band. They not only played the main centres but any small town with a pub or hall that had a stage. They released two singles, an EP and one album before Bryant left to form The Jive Bombers in 1983.
