Cane Slide - EP 1997

This is the second release by Auckland Lo-fi Pop band Cane Slide. They had previously released the single Kamikaze. The band went on to released two albums on CD (Sloppy Pop Wars and Stop Look Listen), two 7 inch EPs (This one and Tone Down) and one more lathe cut single. They were all self-released. They were also featured on two compilations (Dollar Mixture and the Boss TV album). Cane Slide were centred round songwriter, filmmaker and skateboarding legend, Andrew Moore.

These tracks were recorded off of a record that was etched not pressed. One of the King Worldwide Records lathe cut records made in Geraldine during the 1990s. The grooves were etched on to a polycarbonate disk rather than pressed into vinyl. So the quality is not always the best.

Recorded off of the 7" vinyl polycarbonate single
