Link - Only Time Could Let Us Know 1973

The other side of the cover is blank
Christchurch band the Link were formed by ex-Chapta singer/guitarist Dave Kennedy in 1972. The single 'Only Time Could Let Us Know' was their only release. It reached 17 in the New Zealand National Charts and was an entry in the 1973 Studio One TV songwriting competition (it did not win).

Stiff Herbert - I Could Hit The Ceiling
1987



Stiff Herbert was the alias of Wellington song-writer Stefan Wolf. I Could Hit The Ceiling was his only release under that name. It was released on Flying Nun in 1987. Stefan Wolf went on to release many solo CDs and also play in The Madding Crowd.

The Yeomen - Aotearoa
1963


This is the fourth single by Auckland Folk group The Yeomen. They released a total of eight singles, two EPs and one album between 1962 and 1965. All on Viking Records. Aotearoa was written by singer Brian Borland. They also sang the 1960's 'Ches and Dale' Chesdale Chesse TV ad.

Simon Raby - Tag Along
1982



This is the only release by filmmaker Simon Raby. He later played Keyboards in Phil Harmonic's band. Tag Along was released on Ferret Records in 1982.

Cane Slide - EP 1997


This is the second release by Auckland Lo-fi Pop band Cane Slide. They had previously released the single Kamikaze. The band went on to released two albums on CD (Sloppy Pop Wars and Stop Look Listen), two 7 inch EPs (This one and Tone Down) and one more lathe cut single. They were all self-released. They were also featured on two compilations (Dollar Mixture and the Boss TV album). Cane Slide were centred round songwriter, filmmaker and skateboarding legend, Andrew Moore.

These tracks were recorded off of a record that was etched not pressed. One of the King Worldwide Records lathe cut records made in Geraldine during the 1990s. The grooves were etched on to a polycarbonate disk rather than pressed into vinyl. So the quality is not always the best.
