Tigers - Red Dress
1980

This is Wellington Power Pop band Tigers' first single. They contain three future members of Country band The Warratahs, bassist Nick Theobald, guitarist Barry Saunders, and drummer Mike Knapp. After this single was released another future Warratah and ex-Fourmula member Wayne Mason joined them on keyboards.  But the Tigers sounded nothing like The Warratahs they were a Pop band. After touring extensively around New Zealand and releasing three singles the band moved to Australia.  They released a further two singles and an album in Australia before breaking up.

Dave Miller Set - Mr. Guy Fawkes
1969

This is the fourth single by the Dave Miller Set. The Set had grown out of Christchurch band Dave Miller And The Byrds. The band divided its time between New Zealand and Australia. With a large following in both countries. They released a total of six singles all on the Australian label Spin Records. When the managing director of Spin heard this single he labeled it "the worst load of rubbish the company had been involved in". It was only released because it had already been pressed. It was a hit, peaking at number two in the Australia charts.
