Hayden Wood - It's Alright
1970

This is Hayden Wood's third New Zealand released single. He was born Anthony Jones, but after moving to Sydney Australia in the mid 1960's he used the stage name Tony Summers. His band Tony Summers & The Echoes recorded for Spin Records and supported The Rolling Stones on their Australian tour in early 1966. By 1968 he was in Britain, signed to Nems Records and known as Hayden Wood. He was the first person to cover an Elton John / Bernie Taupin song (his first single Sixty Years On). Greatest Discovery the B-Side of  It's Alright is also an Elton John/Bernie Taupin song. This single was recorded on a trip back to New Zealand in 1970.

The Pelicans - Everybody Says
1984

As far as I know this was not released in a picture sleeve.

Everybody Says was the only single by Wellington band The Pelicans. Who featured several Wellington legions including Bill Lake, Stephen Jessup and future Radio New Zealand National music reviewer Nick Bollinger.  Bill Lake, an expat Australian who left Australia to avoid the draft during the Vietnam war had played in Mammal.  Nick Bollinger had played bass in Rough Justice. Both went on to play in The Windy City Strugglers and The Living Daylights together. Stephen Jessup had played in Rough Justice, and The Hulamen and would later play in The Tombolas  and The Holidaymakers.
