The Human Instinct story has been well documented elsewhere. They started life as The Four Fours before moving to Britain and changing their name. This is their last single. It does not appear on any of their CD reissues.

This is the first single from Auckland Punk band The Warners. Evolving out the West Auckland hall Punk scene of the early 1980s. The Warners can be trace back to Vicious Circle via Dead Image. They released two singles, an album and an EP.

Gaunt Pudding - Karangahape
1997



This is the only release from Auckland Lo-fi Pop band Gaunt Pudding. Recorded on a four track cassette tape recorder in their practice room. They were part of the Auckland D.I.Y lo-fi Pop scene of the mid 1990s. Based around Thursday nights at the Kings Arms, see poster below. It is one of King Worldwide Records etched records.

Gaunt Pudding and Cane Slide were the first  'Alternative' bands playing all original material to play the Kings Arms. Up until then mainly Country or cover bands played there.  A Thursday night was booked as an experiment. Here is the poster from the gig, dated 07/12/1995. It featured a map as most people didn't know where the King's Arms were.
