I know very little about this Auckland band. This was their only release. It was also the last record released by Key Records. The label owned by Stebbing Recording studios. I have previously posted Headband's I Get High  which was the first release from Key Records and here is the labels last release.

Vince Callaher - Moo Cow Boogie Blues 1959

This is the first release from Auckland based singer Vince Callaher. He immigrated to New Zealand from Great Britain. He released seven singles between 1959-1960. He is backed on this record by Jess And His Jesters, which was local legend Bill Sevesi and his band.

Ritchie Venus & The Blue Beetles - Bleeding Heart 1982

This is the first single from Christchurch musician  Michael Braithwaite known as Ritckie Venus.  A former Elvis Impersonator. He has played in bands around Christchurch since the 1960's. He appeared on the TV talent show Opportunity Knocks in 1978. In 1982 he teamed up with the recently formed Flying Nun Records and released this single. Its catalog number was FN008. The Blue Beetles feature John Segova (Markie) who has played in various New Zealand bands from The Axemen and Shaft to Don McGlashan And The Seven Sisters.

Willie Hona - She Needs You 1983

This is the first solo single from Ex-Herbs guitarist Willie Hona. It was released before he joined Herbs in 1984. He released one further single and an album.

Ronnie Sundin - Best Wishes 1960

Ronnie Sundin was just 16 years old when he recorded this single. He had just finished his School Certificate exams at Avondale College in Auckland. This is his second single. He released a total of  seven singles, one EP and an album. All in 1960 and all on Viking Records. He is backed by Jess And His Jesters, which was local legend Bill Sevesi and his band. The B-Side is a cover of  Jack Scott's The Way I Walk from the year before.
