Sons In Jeopardy - Sign Of Life 1984



This is Auckland band Sons In Jeopardy's second and last release. Their first single Ritual was self-released and was recorded before former Ainsworths and future head of Universal Music Adam Holt had joined the band. Sign Of Life was released by Hit Singles in 1984.

Inbetweens - Can't Stop Loving You 1976


This is a single from the Inbetweens mark 2. The 1976 version, after the band had moved from Dunedin to Auckland. Can't Stop Loving You was their fourth and last single. It was the only one released on Key Records.  They also released a self titled debut album before trying their luck in the USA.

Mr. Lee Grant - Moving Away 1967




Mr. Lee Grant's birth name was Bogdan Kominowsk. He was born in a Nazi concentration camp in 1945. His father was killed there. After the war in 1949 Bogdan and his mother emigrated to Palmerston North. His quick rise to fame started in February 1967 when he appeared on TV in the first episode of C'Mon. Just over a year later in  March 1968 he had left New Zealand seeking fame in Britain. By the end of 1968 his New Zealand career was all but over. But in that time he had six top ten singles including three number ones. Moving Away reached number two. Under the names Mr. Lee Grant, Lee Grant or Bogdan Kominowsk, he has released a total of 14 singles and two albums in Britain and New Zealand. He also appears in the Bond movie A View To A Kill.

Blind Date - Local Dance 1981



Blind Date were formed by Street Talk's guitarist Mike Caen and bass player Andy McDonald after Street Talk folded. They were joined by highly respected drummer Lyn Buchanan. This is their second and last single. Both their singles were released by WEA. Local Dance was produced by original Split Enz drummer Paul Crowther.
